The front desk staff is primarily responsible for the overall satisfaction of our guests. Front desk employees are the guest’s first impression either by phone, email or in-person. We ask for friendly, helpful employees who are willing to go out of their way for our guests. Employees must be willing to learn about the Denali area and the activities available so they can answer any questions a guest may have. Computer experience is mandatory. This position reports directly to the manager.
Job Description – The front desk position requires face to face contact with customers, confident computer skills, 45 wpm typing skills, ability to handle multiple phone lines, and ability to learn about the area and surrounding activities. The job requires computer skills as 90% of the position revolves around the computer: utilizing our Check-Inn computer reservation system daily, checking people in/out, charging credit cards, and corresponding by e-mail. Employees will be expected to respond to any customer requests, concerns, and complaints and take the necessary action to assist them.
A big benefit to the front desk position is learning about the activities! As a local customer service employee in the Denali area all local activity companies want you to experience their tours: from rafting, atv tours, flight seeing, etc., and all can be done at either great discounts or FREE!
Wages – $10.00/hr plus a $5.00/hr completion bonus for every hour worked except overtime hours. On site single occupancy housing is available for $5.00 a day. The housekeeper’s primary responsibility is cleaning the rooms,
completing laundry and keeping the housekeeping carts well stocked. You
may be called upon to assist a guest and this should be done in a
professional and cheerful manner. Good communication with the front desk
staff is mandatory for quality customer service. This position reports
directly to the manager.
Job Description – Cleaning up to 16 rooms in 8 hours including: cleaning the bathroom (walls, toilet, bathtub/shower, sink, floors, mirrors, baseboard heaters, shower curtains, etc) stripping and making beds, dusting all surfaces, vacuuming, cleaning mirrors/windows, cleaning dresser drawers, refrigerators, coffee pots, and microwaves. Helping customers as needed, stocking housekeeper carts, laundry, and re-stocking rooms with amenities (clean towels, tissue, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, and coffee). Extra projects as needed. Reporting any damage or repairs needed to the manager.
The housekeepers’ positions are very important because much of customer satisfaction comes from being in a clean room that is well stocked.

- Housing is on-site
- Basic single room occupancy, bed and bedding provided.
- Shared bath
- Shared kitchen with utensils, pots, pans, large refrigerator and freezer for storage. Employees are responsible for buying, and cooking their own meals, and cleaning up after themselves.
- Three Bears grocery store located in Healy for food and other supplies.
- Adjoining the kitchen is an employee lounge.
- Housing area is a shared quiet space.
- Housing area is for our employees only. We don’t allow guest in this area without approval from management.
- No alcohol or drugs are allowed in shared employee area.
- Nightly activities should not interfere with you arriving on time and ready to work everyday.
- No pets.
